Mobile: Strategy and Home
We set out to reimagine Asana’s mobile Home as a more useful, focused entry point for work. Starting with a small team, we explored bold ideas grounded in user research, then shipped a simplified first release that improved key metrics. This work laid the foundation for a more modern, mobile-native experience—one we could continue building on.
Search
Search at Asana hadn’t been updated in years, leading to a clunky, inconsistent experience. I explored a new direction for both basic search and results—modernizing the UI, improving usability, and integrating early AI concepts.
Sidebar/Mini-bar
We redesigned Asana’s sidebar to improve navigation on smaller screens and support enterprise needs. This included introducing a new collapsed “minibar,” refining the expanded view, and rethinking iconography and interactions. The result was a more focused, flexible sidebar experience that scaled across user types and screen sizes.
Design systems
I helped build Asana’s design systems for both web and mobile—foundational work that brought consistency, accessibility, and speed to product development. From spacing and color tokens to high-impact components, the system empowered teams to ship with more clarity and less friction, including enabling mobile dark mode for the first time.
