Inline assist is a collection of proactive features and modalities that help people read, write and comprehend what they see on the internet. I explored how Go's agents should appear within text, where people should find them, and how they could stay in control of suggestions. The work focused on making AI feel easy to access, helpful in the moment, and not distracting.
In late 2025, I was curious about training a model to see if it could help us generate new icons at Superhuman. After a few failed attempts, I turned to Opus 4.8 to create an extensive harness that could initially learn our icon style and then try to bridge the gap in new icon generation.
